My paintings are a response to nature, especially flowers, trees, birds and the sea. I live close to the River Thames and am inspired by the reflections on the water and the personality of the wildlife. I paint oils and watercolours in my studio, or on location. Many of my seascapes are made on trips away to places such as Cornwall, Pembrokeshire and Northumberland where I try to evoke the light and movement of the sea in all seasons.
